Land Clearing and Stump Removal, explained.
Before a lot can be graded or a trench dug, whatever is growing on it has to go. Brush, vines, small trees, large stumps and buried roots all get in the way of machines and hide what is underneath. Clearing turns a tangled lot into a surface that can be surveyed, graded and built.
We clear with excavators fitted with grapples and thumbs, remove stumps and roots, and sort, pile, haul or chip debris according to the site. Trees you want to keep are marked and protected, and we plan the work so soil is disturbed as little as the project allows.
Signs this service fits
- A wooded or overgrown lot is being prepared for building
- A driveway or utility corridor needs a cleared path
- A pasture or field needs reclaiming
- Storm damage has left trees and stumps
A good fit, and what to know.
We would rather you hear the limits from us than discover them later.
A good fit when
- A lot or corridor must be cleared before other work
- You want debris removed, not just pushed into a pile
- Erosion control is part of the plan
Worth knowing
- Large trees may need a tree service before the excavator
- Burning is regulated and often not allowed, so hauling or chipping is planned
Why do it this way.
Keeps what you choose
Protected trees stay protected.
Roots, not just stumps
Large roots are pulled so they do not heave or rot under a pad.
Debris handled
Hauling and processing are part of the plan.
Erosion-aware
Silt fence and stabilization are added where soil is exposed.
From first look to finished ground.
A clear sequence for every job.

- 03
Sort and process

- 04

Do you remove stumps and roots?
Yes. Stumps and the main roots are pulled or ground, depending on the plan for the area.
What happens to the trees and brush?
They can be hauled, chipped for mulch or processed on site where the rules allow. Open burning is restricted in many places, so we plan for removal.
Can you clear around trees I want to keep?
Yes. We mark them first, keep machines out of their root zones as much as possible and clear around them carefully.
