Yard Drainage Contractor, explained.
A wet yard is a symptom. Water collects where the ground is low, where the soil is dense clay or where roofs and slopes send it. The right fix depends on where the water is coming from and where it can go, which is why a walk of the property in or just after rain tells us more than a guess.
We build drainage in layers: regrading and swales to move surface water, catch basins and solid pipe to carry it away, French drains to collect groundwater and downspout extensions to keep roof water off the foundation. Every system needs a legal, safe outlet, and we plan that first.
Signs this service fits
- Water stands in the yard for days after rain
- Water runs toward the foundation
- The lawn stays soggy or the soil stays mushy
- A low spot or slope floods repeatedly
A good fit, and what to know.
We would rather you hear the limits from us than discover them later.
A good fit when
- You can see or measure where water is a problem
- A legal outlet exists or can be built
- You want the dig and the yard restoration handled together
Worth knowing
- Flat lots and heavy clay limit how fast water can leave
- Some outlets need approval from neighbors or the municipality
Why do it this way.
Cause first
We find where water comes from before choosing a fix.
The right system
Surface and subsurface problems get different tools.
A real outlet
Pipes go somewhere that can take the flow.
Restored yard
Sod, seed or mulch is put back.
From first look to finished ground.
A clear sequence for every job.

Plan an outlet
A safe place for the water to go is chosen before any pipe is laid.
- 03
Build the system
Grading, swales, pipe, basins or French drains are installed to the plan.
- 04
Restore and test
The yard is restored and the system is checked with water.

Will drainage work fix my wet yard?
Most wet yards can be improved. How much depends on the soil, the slope and whether there is a place for the water to go.
Is a French drain or a catch basin better?
A French drain collects groundwater and shallow water through the soil, while a catch basin collects surface water at a low point. Many yards need both.
Can drainage cause problems for my neighbor?
It can if water is simply pushed onto their property. We plan outlets that follow the natural flow and local rules.
